Support service for citizen-led renovation – open call for participants

The support service for citizen-led renovation initiative aims to empower energy communities and put citizens in the driving-seat for energy efficiency renovations. It is inviting energy communities to participate in the initiative. Whether they are well-established, newly founded or still in the planning phase, all energy communities can respond to the call for participation by 31 May 2024.

 
CEF Energy launches EUR 850 million call for energy infrastructure projects

A new call for proposals has been published for energy infrastructure projects included in the list of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs). The call makes EUR 850 million available for studies and works for both PCIs and PMIs. As of this year, besides the usual categories (electricity, smart grids and CO2 networks), hydrogen and electrolysers, and offshore projects can also apply for funding.

Managing the BUILD UP web portal: new call for tenders open

The new call for tenders concerns the operation, maintenance, improvement and promotion of the BUILD UP interactive web portal. BUILD UP is Europe's reference portal for energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings. It is a requirement for the European Commission from the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The objective is to support Member States in the implementation of the Directive, namely through information sharing and awareness raising over the main regulatory, technology and market trends in the building sector. Deadline for applications is Friday 17 May 2024.

 
New call for proposals and info day to foster energy transition in fisheries

With a budget of EUR 2.2 million, the EU is planning to fund a demonstrator project of a retrofitted fishing vessel to foster energy transition in fisheries. The deadline to submit proposals is 11 June. CINEA has organised an info day to present the call context and explain the application process. The recording is online.

A new EUR 2.2 million call for proposals has opened for a Pilot Project on a demonstrator fishing vessel to promote energy transition in the fisheries sector. The call seeks to finance a pilot project on a demonstrator fishing vessel that will be retrofitted with alternative propulsion technologies and other solutions to improve energy performance, cut emissions and reduce underwater noise.

 
Additional activities for the European Partnership for a climate neutral, sustainable and productive Blue Economy (HORIZON-CL6-2024-GOVERNANCE-01-1)

This topic is for the continuation of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP), i.e. EU contribution in WP 2023-2024. The second instalment of the partnership is expected to contribute to all expected outcomes specified in topic HORIZON-CL6-2022-GOVERNANCE-01-02: European Partnership for a climate-neutral, sustainable and productive Blue Economy, for continuation and new development of activities.

 
Call for expression of interest for new partnerships

Apply to the open call for expression of interest for new partnerships under the Smart Specialisation (S3) Platform on Sustainable Blue Economy. Regional authorities and/or quadruple helix actors with a mandate from their regional authority can also get involved by expressing interest to form a new partnership together with other regions.
