NACE section > Correspondence table REVAMP EN

Correspondence tables are important tools for comparing statistical data collected and presented using different classifications. 2 types of correspondence tables exist:

  • correspondence tables between different versions of the same classification describe the detailed changes that have taken place in the revision process;
  • correspondence tables between 2 different classifications show the relationship between all positions of the two classifications involved.

Moreover, correspondence tables are one of the ways in which the special aggregations of NACE, such as the  Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs), can be represented.

As NACE is used for the collection and presentation of statistics in many areas, there is a strong need for correspondence tables between the current NACE and its previous version as well as NACE and other classifications.
