Slovakia makes great progress in its national OOTS implementation

14 November 2024 | 3 minutes read

Slovakia has recently moved from Level 2 (Preliminary) to Level 4 (Technically ready) in the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS) Acceleratormeter(opens in a new tab). The OOTS Acceleratormeter consists of six levels and tracks Member States’ progress towards setting up their national OOTS infrastructure at the technical level. As Member States progress along these six levels, they become technically ready to provide Once-Only services to EU businesses and citizens.

The previous version of the OOTS Acceleratormeter was prepared following the June #3 OOTS Accelerator event (opens in a new tab) where Slovakia was able to reach Level 2 (Preliminary). Since then, Slovakia has been working hard to drive its national OOTS implementation forward, and with great success. In just over four months, Slovakia was able to move up two levels and reach Level 4 (Technically ready).

Reaching Level 4 marks a major milestone, indicating that Slovakia’s national OOTS implementation is now ‘production ready’. Once Slovakia has connected evidence requesters or evidence providers to the system (i.e. the public bodies who will exchange documents and data through the OOTS), it will be able to conduct its first live transactions.

Slovakia is committed to keep this positive momentum towards its national OOTS implementation, notably at the November 2024 #5 OOTS Projectathon(opens in a new tab).

The OOTS Acceleratormeter consists of six levels

  • Level 1 - Initial: The Member States are preparing their national development and integration with the OOTS Common Services(opens in a new tab).
  • Level 2 - Preliminary: The Member States have started developing their national OOTS infrastructure and connecting to the OOTS Common Services. Several components are still incomplete or not fully automated.
  • Level 3 - Intermediate: Development of the national OOTS infrastructure and integration with the OOTS Common Services are progressing. Most of the components are ready or on track to be ready in the coming months, but some technical items are still blocking technical readiness.
  • Level 4 - Technically ready: The national OOTS implementation is technically ready, and Member States are finalising their configurations. Now, Member States need to connect evidence providers and evidence requesters to make their first transactions through the system.
  • Level 5 - First live transactions: At least one evidence provider or evidence requester is connected to the system. The Member State has successfully tested exchanging evidence with another Member State, so their service is tested and configured.
  • Level 6 - End-user transactions: One or multiple evidence providers or evidence requesters are connected to the system. The services are available and ready to be used by citizens and businesses.
