The EUROPEUM-EDIC’s latest updates

On 21 May 2024, the EUROPEUM-EDIC was created by a European Commission decision. This new legal entity is governed by a consortium of Member States through its Assembly of Members.
The EUROPEUM-EDIC was initially founded by Belgium (the hosting country), Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, and Slovenia, and joined by Poland soon after. Other eligible Member States and countries part of the European Economic Area (EEA) can also join the EUROPEUM-EDIC by sending an application letter to the Chair of the Assembly of Members.

Download the statutes of the EUROPEUM-EDICThe objective of the EUROPEUM-EDIC is to continue the activities of the European Blockchain Partnership in order to expand and deploy the EBSI network and its use cases, with a focus on enhancing public services for EU citizens and organisations. The EUROPEUM-EDIC will as well foster the EU-wide cross-border verification solutions and facilitate the cooperation between Member States on blockchain and Web3 technology.
The Assembly of Members of EUROPEUM-EDIC welcomes Poland and appoints its Chair and Vice-chair
The Assembly of Members of EUROPEUM-EDIC held its two first meetings on 8 July 2024. Key decisions of those meetings include the endorsement of Poland’s participation as the new member of EUROPEUM-EDIC, and the appointment of Alberto López (Alberto.Lopez@incm.pt), from the Portuguese Mint and Official Printing Office, as Chair of the Assembly of Members and of Piotr Rutkowski (Piotr.Rutkowski2@cyfra.gov.pl), from the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, as Vice-chair.
The EUROPEUM-EDIC is looking for a Director
Mandate of the Director
For the position of Director, EUROPEUM-EDIC is looking for an experienced manager who will act as the Chief Executive Officer and legal representative of this body. The Director shall carry out the day-to-day management of EUROPEUM-EDIC with due diligence, in accordance with the EUROPEUM-EDIC Statutes and Implementation Rules, the directions and resolutions of the Assembly of Members, and applicable laws.
The Director will lead the EUROPEUM-EDIC team and report to the Assembly of Members of EUROPEUM-EDIC.

Describing and demonstrating the applicant’s suitability for the position and how he/she can lead the activities of EUROPEUM-EDIC and deliver its missions.

Detailed CV of the applicant.

Names and contact details of at least three persons who can provide references for the applicant's previous professional experience.

Vision Statement:
A maximum 1-page vision statement outlining where EUROPEUM-EDIC will be in 5 years, along with a relevant plan and envisioned steps. The candidate should aim at referring to current and future challenges EUROPEUM-EDIC will face.
