ESF+ project in Poland helps Ukrainian war refugees
The ‘Lubelskie helps Ukraine’ project assists Ukrainians fleeing the war to help them integrate into Polish society. It is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion’s Action for Refugees in Europe (CARE).The project provides advice on dealing with everyday life and legal matters, as well as translation and interpretation services. It assists disabled people and provides psychological support to respond to the impact of the war on mental health.

Ukrainian refugees find work in Bulgaria
The ‘Solidarity’ project aims to help Ukrainians settle into Bulgarian life by making it easier for them to find a job. The project is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and the Territories of Europe (REACT-EU). It provides accommodation and financial support as well as workshops to develop job skills.

European Social Fund: German project breaks digital barriers for deaf people
The SiMAX project - supported by a guarantee for social entrepreneurship under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) - developed the Sign Time solution that provides quick and cost-effective sign language translations.

European Social Fund: Celebrating achievements at the launch of Ireland’s Cohesion Funds 2021-2027
The European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform Elisa Ferreira met participants in landmark youth and social inclusion projects, co-funded by the European Social Fund. Two of the projects included in the visit work to address poverty and social exclusion through innovative, locally-led approaches.

Dialogue builds momentum for ESF+ programme in Greece
On 10th September 2022 at the Thessaloniki International Fair, the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) funding opportunities took centre stage at high-level panel discussions. The event offered citizens and stakeholders the opportunity to find out more and discuss participation in the new ESF+ ‘Human Resources and Social Cohesion’ (HSRC) Programme.

€3.26 billion for Slovenia's economic competitiveness, digital transition, and climate goals
Slovenia will benefit from €3.26 billion in Cohesion Policy funding between 2021-2027 to support the sustainable development of its economy. The details and strategy for these investments are set out in the Partnership Agreement between Slovenia and the Commission that was adopted today.

Commissioner meets young French people benefitting from innovative education – thanks to the ESF
Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, was in Marseille (France) where he met students from two “Second Chance” schools using European Social Fund money to drive innovation in education. The "Second Chance" schools have laid the foundations for a national model for alternative education.

France will receive an additional €189.8 million under REACT-EU under the European Social Fund (ESF) to help workers and job seekers, support training and social inclusion and to achieve a sustainable socio-economic recovery.

ESF+ project in Belgium helps vulnerable young adults discovering their talent for work
The Jota+ programme in Belgium, a European Social Fund (ESF) funded project by ‘vzw aPart’ in Ghent, helps vulnerable young adults that left school without qualifications. Through an intensive ‘work activation’ course, young people are able to undertake training in a real workplace, explore different sectors, and participate in training courses.
