Around five years ago, Brigitte received support from the European Social Fund (ESF) to retrain as a healthcare assistant. This gave her the skills to work in a field she’d always been passionate about. She began working in a nursing home to help senior citizens live enriching lives, whilst taking care of her sick husband at home. Since then, Brigitte has built up her skill set and developed within the same role. This film is about ordinary people beating the odds with well-timed ESF support to change lives, both professionally and socially.
