First EU social finance deal in Europe, to support €33m for social enterprises in France
The European Investment Fund (EIF) and Société financière de la NEF (la NEF) have signed the first Social Entrepreneurship guarantee agreement aimed at supporting more than 300 social enterprises in France under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI).

Almost 30 000 workers supported by the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund during 2013 and 2014
During 2013-14, the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) helped a total of 27 610 workers, who had been dismissed due to the economic crisis and the effects of globalisation, to find new job opportunities.

Commission proposes €1.3 million from Globalisation Fund for former workers of ICT sector in Finland

Poverty: Commission has committed €3.8 billion to fight poverty and help the most vulnerable in Europe
The European Commission has today finalised the process of adoption of all national Operational Programmes implementing the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) for the period 2014-2020, worth 3.8 billion euro in basic non-financial assistance to those most in need in the Member States.
