#EUinMyRegion Media Trips is a European Commission study programme for regional and local journalists and content creators from the EU.

The programme allows regional and local journalists and content creators from all EU regions to learn about Cohesion Policy, EU funds and more in general about the European Union. The programme takes place both online and onsite. The two days trips to Brussels includes policy sessions and visits about:

  • Institutions, structure and procedures of the EU
  • EU Cohesion Policy: how the EU invests in regions and cities across Europe
  • EU current issues
  • How the EU handles fraud and mismanagement with funds
  • EU financing opportunities
  • Data tools for journalists
  • Meetings with Commission country experts
  • Visits to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union

The Media Trips 3.0 programme includes four study trips between March and June 2024. Each trip will welcome to Brussels around 40 journalists from the EU Member States. The European Commission will cover travel, accommodation and some food costs for the journalists participating in the programme.
