Last days to apply to the calls on Mission Soil and environmental observations and digital solutions in support of the EU Green Deal

The European Commission is looking for innovative ideas on 15 areas including water governance and water use, consumer-focused labelling options for bio-based products, and understanding the emergence and tackling the spread of new infectious diseases affecting humans, animals and plants. The deadline to apply is the 10th of March. Proposals for the restoration of soils should be submitted by the 24th of March.

There is still time to apply to the Soil Mission Board

Top experts in the areas of Soil restoration and protection with experience in different areas are encouraged to apply by 7 February 12:00 CET to join the Soil Mission Board. For a period of 3 years, the members of the board will advise the European Commission on how the objectives of the EU Mission: ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ can be achieved. Their work will be remunerated.

New report on open science published by the European Commission

The Commission’s "Enabling Open Science and Societal Engagement in Research" report has been published. 36 EU-funded Science with and for Society (SwafS) projects managed by the European Research Executive Agency contributed to its making during a workshop last July.

 
New call for proposals just opened

€60.5 million is available in research funding to reform and enhance the European research and innovation system. The funding will be spread across fifteen research topics. Deadline for submissions is the 20th of April 2022.
