Euronews OCEAN season 2, episode 2: maritime spatial planning

date: 18/02/2020
But with blue growth comes escalating competition for space and resources. How do we encourage business development while preventing conflicts and protecting our marine ecosystems? And can we exploit potential synergies between different uses of the marine environment?
In this new OCEAN episode, the Euronews team visits three Macaronesian archipelagos to see how maritime spatial planning is working across borders and sectors, ensuring human activities at sea take place in an efficient, safe and sustainable way. We'll also join an MSP Challenge game at an IOC-UNESCO/European Commission training workshop in Toulon, France.
