The Arctic Stakeholder Forum at Arctic Futures Symposium 2016

One of the key actions put forward in the Joint Communication "An integrated European Union policy for the Arctic" is the setting-up of the Arctic Stakeholder Forum, a temporary platform for EU institutions, Member States, regional and local authorities to discuss how to better streamline EU funding opportunities relevant for the Arctic region and how to enhance collaboration and coordination between different EU funding programmes.

The Forum has met already twice so far and on the occasion of the Arctic Futures Symposium 2016 (30 November 2016), there will be a first open discussion with stakeholders. Speakers from different EU funding programmes (Interreg, cross-border cooperation programmes, etc.) and projects will provide the audience with insights about the implementation of EU programmes in the Arctic region and with food for thoughts on how to boost synergies and cooperation between programmes at local, regional, national and European level.

Don't miss the panel discussion from 14h to 15h30!
