EU focusses on the Mediterranean Sea

Mediterranean fish stocks keep declining. To reverse the trend and to bring more and more stocks towards sustainable levels, the EU is launching a new political campaign to be announced for the first time at the exhibition.

On Wednesday 27 April, European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella, will present goals and rationale of the new initiative. He will then hold a debate with some key partners from both Europe and beyond.

The debate will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 (27 April).
