First sales in Europe and focus on Belgium (monk and turbot) and Portugal (cuttlefish and horse mackerel). | The EU is by far the largest market for imported fish and seafood, especially from third countries. | The Netherlands is a major player regarding fisheries, trade and processing of plaice. Total Allowable Catches (TACs) for plaice more than doubled between 2008 and 2015.| Consumption: fresh carp and fresh trout.| Fuel prices increased 34% since the beginning of the year.
