Following the successful launching conference of the pan-European cruise dialogue, held in Brussels in March 2015, the Commission is supporting the first Regional Cruise Dialogue for the Mediterranean in Olbia, Sardinia, on 14 October 2015.

The dialogue will gather around 30 representatives of the main cruise stakeholders, namely ports, cruise lines and destinations, to discuss  the role of each stakeholder group and the best way to find common solutions on environmental, economic and societal issues linked to cruise tourism and specific to the Mediterranean Sea.

While the European Commission will moderate the event, the discussion itself will be driven by the stakeholders, who will try to find the best way to tackle the challenges jointly, in order to ensure sustainable growth and development of cruise tourism to the benefit of all parties.
