Seafood Expo Global 2015

On Tuesday, 21st of April, European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella, will hold a debate on how the European Union’s rules and tools in the fight against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing, control, traceability and labelling can contribute towards better fisheries governance globally.

EU markets driving good governance in fisheries

On Tuesday, 21st of April, European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella, will hold a debate on how the European Union’s rules and tools in the fight against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing, control, traceability and labelling can contribute towards better fisheries governance globally.

With the participation of representatives from the Republic of Korea, a coalition of four NGO's (Environmental Justice Foundation, Pew, Oceana and WWF), the British Retail Consortium and the European Fish Processors Association, the debate will take place from 14:30 to 15:30.
