On the occasion of World Refugee Day on 20 June, the Commission is announcing the 12 projects that are in the shortlist for the EIC Horizon Prize for Affordable High-Tech for Humanitarian Aid. This €5 million prize is run under Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation programme, and will reward the best, proven, cost-effective, tech-based solutions for humanitarian aid.

Finalists’ day of the Blockchain for Social Good EIC Prize will be held on 10 February, 2020, in the Atrium of JRC, Brussels. The interactive event features discussions among the 24 finalists as well as an engaged audience, plus poster presentations of the different applications.
