As part of the interim evaluation of Horizon 2020 the EU Research and Innovation Programme, a public stakeholder consultation was launched on 20 October 2016 and closed on 15 January 2017. The results of around 3500 responses and about 300 position papers will be presented at an event organised in cooperation with the European Economic and Social Committee on 28 April.
The European Commission and the European Investment Fund (EIF) have started selecting promoters of one or more private-sector led, market-driven Pan-European Venture Capital Funds-of-Funds. 17 applications were submitted by the 31 January 2017 deadline.
FET2RIN is calling for a second round of workshops to help FET-funded projects with their outreach activities to the market. Applications are now open for three workshops to be held in Brussels in January, February and March 2017.
Swiss researchers and organisations will now be able to fully participate in Horizon 2020, the European Union's research and innovation funding programme, on equal terms with entities from EU Member States and other associated countries. The Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation and the Czech Business Representation to the EU in Brussels are holding a debate on the Seal of Excellence. The debate will take place at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU on 4 April 2016.
The aim of this debate is to discuss national and regional schemes for the Seal of Excellence and share experiences on creating synergies between Horizon 2020 and the European structural and investment funds.
