The Single Market Tour – wrap up at a glance

The Single Market Tour started in September 2023. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Single Market and aims to engage citizens across the European Union. The Tour, which will conclude at the end of June 2024, is visiting 44 cities in 24 Member States. You can still visit it during the last two stops: in Liepaja (Latvia), and the final one in Klaipeda (Lithuania) on 29 and 30 June respectively. The full itinerary and photo gallery of the Single Market Tour are available here.

During this exciting journey across Europe, citizens can discover via interactive installations how the EU Single Market impacts their lives, participate in activities and games, take pictures, and win prizes.

 The exhibition stand includes:

  • An exhibition wall made of 14 QR codes to discover the benefits of the European Single Market;
  • Games: Quizzes and short games, with prizes to win;
  • A selfie wall;
  • Postcards to send to friends or a message to the European Union;
  • A photo booth.

At each stop, a DG GROW Ambassador was present to engage with citizens, stakeholders, and the press. Additionally, representatives from the Enterprise Europe Network and Europe Direct centers provided valuable on-the-ground support, ensuring the tour's smooth operation.

To date, the tour has attracted more than 25,000 visitors, who took the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the Single Market. The tour has also actively sought citizen feedback through an online questionnaire, which visitors were encouraged to fill out. Their responses will be analysed to understand the Single Market benefits that are particularly important to citizens in different countries and to assess the overall usefulness of the Single Market Tour for citizens.

In addition, since September 2023, the Single Market Tour has resulted in more than 100 publications in various media outlets throughout the EU, achieving a potential online reach of over 30 million people, and more than 1 million people via newspapers/radio/tv.
