The EU Industry Days, organised with the support of the Spanish Presidency and taking place in Málaga, are Europe’s flagship annual event focusing on key industrial policy discussions, connecting industrial frontrunners, and boosting the knowledge base of European industry.

During the 2023 edition, a wide range of plenary and parallel sessions will focus on:

  • opportunities and challenges of the green, digital, and resilient transition
  • EU open strategic autonomy
  • integration of Ukraine into the single market and reinforcement of the EU defence industry capacity

More specifically, the event will mark the 30th anniversary of the Single Market and invite the audience to reflect on how to unlock its full potential. To this end, it will place the spotlight on the necessary conditions to accelerate the twin transition, including skills, access to finance, R&I, energy efficiency, and many others. It will also stimulate discussions on how to strike a balance between our trade relations and our strategic autonomy, in order to ensure EU competitiveness, access to critical raw materials, and supply chain resilience. Finally, this edition will zoom in on the revitalisation of Ukraine’s business as part of its integration into the Single Market and on the strengthening of the EU’s responsiveness in terms of defence.

The event will also offer participants the opportunity to connect with new partners through matchmaking, learn from experts about EU initiatives to support industrial stakeholders with know-how and funding, and visit an exhibition showcasing new technologies and innovative solutions.
