Call for expressions of interest - DG GROW Fellowship Programme

The 2023 yearly cycle of GROW Fellowship Programme has just been launched. The programme has attracted numerous submissions, allowing to pick ten fellow economists with very high reputation and an interesting range of fields of expertise and research interests. This programme aims to generate rich exchanges contributing to DG GROW analysis and policy making, but also feeding back into the academic activity of the fellows with possible reciprocal benefits.

date:  20/03/2023

The type of expertise sought covers a broad range of fields spreading across industrial policy, and more broadly covering as well relevant angles from trade and innovation policy as well as policies related to market integration, and mission-oriented policy design.

New and emerging issues with high relevance for the Single Market and EU industry will be covered as well, linked to for example strategic autonomy, supply chain distress, future‑proof skills, impact investments and alternative business models, purposeful innovation and the industrial ecosystem approach.

This yearly cycle is the first one of a 4-year programme, based on a Call for Expression of Interest running until mid-2026 (see notice on DG GROW portal). New rounds of evaluation will take place on a yearly basis to appoint fellow economists for the next cycles, drawing on calls for expression of interest.
