2022 European Angel Investment Summit – Fuelling Europe’s Growth

The 2022 European Angel Investment Summit, which took place on 11-12 October, was the pinnacle of Europe’s start-up ecosystem. Over 350 business angels, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policy-makers came together to discuss key issues like economic recovery, gender inequality and twin transition.
The summit facilitated over 30 start-ups to pitch with investors and enabled over 200 one-to-one meetings between companies, investors and policy makers. Over a dozen of these start-ups were coached and supported by the Enterprise Europe Network. During the Summit the Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a cooperation between the InvestEU Portal and the European Business Angel Network.
The Commission announced the signature of the first agreements with local financial intermediaries under the InvestEU programme making available much needed finance to Europe’s companies. The www.access2finance.eu website helps companies to apply for loans and equity finance supported by InvestEU and other EU programmes.
