On 27 and 28 September, Raw Materials University Day takes place at the University of Padova in Italy. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of the raw materials value chain.

Special attention will be devoted to school leavers interested in future study and job opportunities. The event offers hints and suggestions for career development and job placement, together with information on specific multidisciplinary raw material-themed curricula.

Researchers will highlight the crucial role of science and technology in the sustainability and progress of society for the general public. In doing so, they hope to raise awareness about the investigation and management of raw materials.

There will be 2 laboratories where experts and university students conduct live lab performances. Visitors can stop by stands to see an overview of natural raw materials, high tech prototypes and open problems in the raw materials value chain.
