As announced in the last newsletter, the Commission is working on non-binding Guidance for the cascading use of woody biomass in the context of the Circular Economy Action Plan. To collect good practices from all the wood-based value chains and from across Europe, the Commission has now launched an on-line survey. Through this survey, stakeholders are invited to submit examples of their good practices and experiences. The deadline for the contributions is 9 April 2018.

In the context of this work, the Commission will also hold a stakeholder workshop on 13 April 2018, which will discuss: good practices along the value chains, future outlook, and the contribution of woody biomass to a sustainable future. For more information, please send an e-mail to GROW CASCADES.
