DG GROW publishes a study on the composition and drivers of energy prices and costs in selected energy-intensive industries

It provides an overview on energy price developments, the evolution of energy intensity, an international comparison with non-EU countries. It also includes an assessment of the impact of energy prices and their components on the unit production costs and other key performance indicators. The study applied a bottom-up approach using data from selected production sites.
