After a ballistic phase of almost four hours, the two new additions to the Galileo constellation signaled that they were up and running.

Minutes later, the tracking stations confirmed that the satellites had been lifted into their expected positions.

These two satellites bring the current constellation to 14. The next launches are planned to occur using the Ariane 5 launcher, which will take four satellites per flight. This will sustain the accelerated deployment of Galileo's space infrastructure.
