The EU-Japan Days will have the same format as the Missions for Growth conducted by this Directorate-General over the past years. They will include:

• A first session on the morning of 10 July where high-level policymakers will underline the benefits of a strengthened partnership between the EU and Japan;
• A second session where the European Commission and business representatives will present business opportunities in the EU and Japan.
• Business-to-business meetings (B2B) between entrepreneurs from the EU and Japan which will take place in the afternoon of 10 July. The industrial sectors targeted for these meetings include food and drink manufacturing, innovative and high quality food products, safety and quality control, and food chain management. All these sectors relate to the themes of Expo Milano 2015

Finally, a visit to the exhibition is foreseen for participants. 

Companies operating in the above-mentioned sectors who are interested in participating in the EU-Japan days, including in the B2B meetings, can register online.

The companies selected will have to cover their own expenses.
