Around 350 participants were present at this event, entitled 'Managing and promoting sustainable and accessible tourism destinations'. Around 250 took part in the ETIS conference and 100 in the Accessible Tourism workshop.

At this event sustainability and accessibility were presented as complementary strategies to successfully manage and promote tourism destinations.

The purpose of the event was to:

1. present the results of the second ETIS pilot testing phase, including recommendations and the revised toolkit of ETIS
2. identify policy priorities for accessible tourism in destinations, in particular focusing on accommodation, transport, attractions and customer satisfaction
3. present a promotion strategy for Europe as a 'Sustainable Tourism Destination for All'.
