The workshop will bring together stakeholders from different Member States to debate those factors that affect the "readiness of SMEs" to adopt advanced manufacturing products. The workshop will also facilitate discussion on the barriers and implications involved.

In particular, intermediary support organisations who currently provide specific services to manufacturing SMEs, will share their experiences and lessons learned in working closely with manufacturing SMEs across EU countries.

The overall objective of the debate will be to take account of expressed views and key recommendations, so as to arrive at some concrete policy actions that could be implemented under COSME and H2020 in 2016 - 2017. This would assist Member States leverage their efforts in this area; or be inspired to launch similar support schemes in their own country.
