The Commission is organizing its first Industrial Economics Day on Monday 15 December 2014 in Brussels. It will gather world-leading thinkers for a day of open debates on Industrial Policy.

The Industrial Economics Day took place on December 15th 2014 in Brussels. It gathered some of the world-leading specialist in Industrial Policy. The event opened with a keynote speech from Dani Rodrik (Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton). This was followed by a panel with Kai-Uwe Kühn (University of Michigan), Antonio Andreoni (University of Cambridge and SOAS, London) and Maarten Goos (University of Leuven). The speakers presented recent findings of the economic literature and identified the most relevant policies. The event was attended by 250 people in the room, and close to 400 online.
