European Commission takes action to drive the non-road mobile machinery sector out of the crisis

Against this backdrop, the European Commission has proposed to allow companies of the construction equipment, agricultural machinery and rail sector to sell a limited amount of machinery that does not yet fulfil new emission limits applicable from 2011 until the end of 2013.

The Commission estimates that companies will save around 2 billion EURO until the end of 2013 which they urgently need for the investments in less polluting new engines.
