The workshop, organized in Brussels on 24-25 November 2009, brought together representatives of employers and employees – including industrial associations and trade unions – of the textile and clothing industry in Mediterranean partner countries and EU Member States.

The main aim of the event was to contribute to an improved dialogue between social partners in the textile and clothing in the Euro-Mediterranean Region, in particular with respect to the management of structural changes and the adaptation to new market conditions.
