[p]The Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing and DG Enterprise and Industry organised a Taiex Workshop with DG Enlargement concerning the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED — 97/23/EC). [/p]
[p]The target audience of the Workshop was public authorities and other stakeholders from new Member States and Candidate Countries (e.g. representatives of notified bodies, standards organisations, users and industry) involved in the implementation of various aspects of the directive. This Workshop aimed to provide participants with practical guidance on conformity assessment, market surveillance, standardisation, in-service inspections and a possibility to exchange information and experience between Member States, regarding the PED. [/p]
