Eastern European Shipbuilding Industry Study for Applicant Countries

The study provides detailed analysis of the sector in each applicant country over a three year period from 1996 – 1998 covering both shipbulding and shiprepair yard activities against the criteria identified in the terms of reference.

The study, wherever practicable, identifies separately merchant and naval/military vessel aspects and seagoing and inland waterway vessel aspects. Additionally the study provides an economic analysis of the sector in each applicant country, including privatisation, direct foreign investment and state aids to shipbuilding.
