Europe is a global leader in advanced manufacturing, but uptake by SMEs remains a challenge. Workshop participants will explore how regions and clusters can collaborate to foster SME uptake of advanced manufacturing through practical case studies. These studies will present lessons learned, including from the Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation, Strategic Cluster Partnerships, Technology Centres and SMEs. The case studies are intended to stimulate discussion on the benefits of collaboration, as well as the barriers and ways to overcome them.
