The aims of this Brussels-based event were threefold:
- to give participants an overview of the achievements and milestones through 2017 and an outlook on 2020
- to award the EPAA Refinement Prize
- a panel discussion on 'Building synergies across sectors to accelerate development and acceptance of alternative approaches for safety assessment'
MEP Julie Girling gave a key presentation about raising awareness.
The conference took place on 22 November 2017: from 13:30 to 18:00, in the Centre Borschette, Brussels. It gathered academics, representatives from EPAA members, European and international institutions, NGOs, as well as national regulatory authorities.
