What is this about?
The rules for the manufacture and use of chemicals in the European Union are designed to meet the business and societal needs for safer chemicals.
REACH established a new system for managing the risks of chemicals, which also aims to promote competitiveness and innovation through their Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction.
CLP facilitates global trade and improves worker and consumer safety by implementing the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labelling of Chemicals in the EU, and for their packaging.
These regulations put in place a common system to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment in the EU.
