New stockshot: Vocational education and training across the EU
The "Citizens information" unit of DG COMM has produced some promotional items that might help you publicise EU publications. We have in particular bookmarks, but also some pens, bags and other goodies.
Jean-Claude Juncker was seemingly not afraid of anything: just three days after the terrorist attacks in Paris, the Commission President honoured his commitment to attend a Citizens' Dialogue in central Brussels. For one hour, President Juncker listened to the audience, answered their questions and had a frank and forthright exchange of views on the issues of most concern to the majority of Europeans. In the city's beautiful 'Bozar' concert hall, designed by Belgium's famous architect Victor Horta, around 850 citizens were given the opportunity to meet the Commission's highest representative. Out in the lobby, DG COMM's Citizens' Information Unit handed out some of the Commission's publications to participants.
Since March of this year the distribution of DG COMM publications has had a new face. In that month, Angeliki Kallianou joined Unit C1, following the retirement of Marleen Michiels. Ever since, she has ensured, with untiring enthusiasm and a service mentality, that DG COMM publications reach their recipients.
On 16 September 2015, Ierotheos Papadopoulos took up the post of Head of the Citizens' Information Unit (Publications) in DG COMM. Before taking up this new position, Ierotheos worked for five years as the Deputy Head of Unit in the Commission's Audiovisual Service. Meet Ierotheos and watch his video.
