COMMUNICATION - New Head in DG COMM's Citizens' Information Unit (Publications)

On 16 September 2015, Ierotheos Papadopoulos took up the post of Head of the Citizens' Information Unit (Publications) in DG COMM. Before taking up this new position, Ierotheos worked for five years as the Deputy Head of Unit in the Commission's Audiovisual Service. Meet Ierotheos and watch his video.

Ierotheos Papadopoulos joined the Commission 26 years ago. For the last 14 years, he has worked for DG COMM. He joined the Commission Representation in Greece as Head of the Press and Media Service in 2001 and subsequently became Acting Head and then Head of the Representation in Greece (2006-2010). Ierotheos graduated in Physics at the Aristotle University in his hometown of Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. His post-graduate studies were in ' Applied Mathematics for Management' and in 'International Trade'.
