In a collaborative effort to foster a sustainable, modern, and competitive blue economy in the Black Sea region, the Black Sea Common Maritime Agenda Stakeholder Conference 2023 took place in Bucharest on 22-23 November. Organised under the auspices of the CMA Romanian coordination, alongside the Black Sea Assistance Mechanism and the European Commission, the event drew active participation from about 200 stakeholders.

The Atlantic Project Awards spotlight exceptional initiatives, successful collaborations, and accomplishments aligned with the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0. This year, five awards were bestowed to projects demonstrating outstanding performance in categories corresponding to the Pillars of the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0.

Meeting 2030 energy efficiency and renewable targets requires a skilled workforce, but we need significant investment in training the next-generation workforce to deliver the clean energy transition across Europe.

Stakeholders across Europe submitted their ideas to accelerate the market-uptake of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions under the Call for Proposals 2023 of the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme. The call closed on 16 November 2023.

To reduce energy consumption during the end-of-year holiday period, the Commission will close most of its buildings in Brussels between 23 December and 7 January.
