This first edition of the training, specifically tailored for colleagues representing the Agency at external events, took place on 19 December. The training gave participants a snapshot of each programme so they can better respond to questions on the Agency’s programmes. The slides and recording are now available.
The course aims at helping them to prepare for the 2024 appraisal exercise, by giving an overview of the general/specific rules including new features of the appraisal report. The session will take place online exclusively.
Two projects have been selected for a grant under the Horizon Europe call to associate Ukrainian cities to the EU’s Climate-neutral and Smart Cities Mission. The allocation of €10 million to the two projects is double the original budget.

Sea lettuce (Ulva) produced by the ULVA FARM project was served for the second year in a row at the Nobel Prize dinner in December 2023. The project, funded under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, sets the basis for scaling-up Ulva cultivation in Europe.

On Tuesday 12 December, colleagues from the Horizon Transport unit welcomed a delegation from Türkiye to CINEA. The meeting was organised in the context of the ‘Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) Türkiye project’. As part of the project, a series of ‘policy dialogues’ are organised between Turkish authorities and EU institutions, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of information and experience on urban mobility-related topics.
