On 10 June 2024, the European Commission published the event report for the May 2024 Once-Only Technical System Projectathon, the fourth large-scale peer-to-peer testing event helping implementation teams from EU Member States prepare their respective Once-Only Technical System implementations. This edition was the first following the Go-Live of core Once-Only infrastructure in December 2023.
The May 2024 Projectathon focussed on Education and Population data, and on linking the Once-Only Technical System with related systems such as EMREX, an independent, international network that provides an electronic data exchange solution improving intra-EU student mobility.
This Projectathon was also the first to really focus on the needs of Competent Authorities. As authentic data (such as permits or diplomas) are exchanged through the Once-Only Technical System, Competent Authorities are those organisations that request, or provide, the data.
On 13-14 June 2024, third Accelerator will offer a further change for Member States to advance their progress ahead of the summer. Another Projectathon is scheduled to take place later in the year.
