The EU proposes a number of funding programmes to support digital transformation across the EU. Some of those grants can support EBSI implementations. We list those funding opportunities here.
Who can apply for European Union grants?
Every grants call is associated with a series of conditions. These will depend on the funding programme, its goals, and the policy priorities of the European Commission. Grants are open to all in the European Union who fulfill the conditions of the specific call for proposal.

Next Generation Internet Fund - Research and Innovation Actions
February 1st 2023 March 29th 2023
Funding is allocated to projects using short research cycles targeting the most promising ideas in the field of Next Generation Internet (NGI) research. This grants call supports projects from outstanding academic researchers, hi-tech startups and SMEs. There are four themes to this call, including NGI ZERO ENTRUST, focused on trust in the new web, and NGI Zero Core which seeks to build an open a free and open internet.
Pilots for the Next Generation Internet

As part of the Horizon funding programme, this call is for pilot projects seeking to apply Next Generation Internet (NGI) technologies in a variety of industrial and societal use cases, enabling the emergence of internet ecosystems supporting the needs of key vertical sectors with high socio-economic impact.
