Once-Only Technical System: Commission organises hands-on webinar on eDelivery

OOTS

On 26 January 2023, the European Commission organised a hands-on webinar looking at how to deploy the eDelivery building block.

The Commission organised this webinar in the context of the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS) project. The Once-Only Technical System is a technical framework for data sharing. As of the end of 2023, citizens and businesses will be able to request official documents (known as “evidence”) to complete administrative procedures allowing people to study, work, live and retire in other EU countries.

eDelivery is a critical element of this Technical System, providing the capability for seamless and secure cross-border data exchange.

eDelivery provides technical specifications and standards, installable software and ancillary services to allow projects to create a network of nodes for secure digital data exchange. By building with eDelivery, public and private organisations from different sectors can easily create a safe and interoperable channel to transfer documents and data among each other over a public or private network.

This hands-on session used the ‘Dockerised installation’ use case, as opposed to the ‘native installation’, to facilitate the smooth running of the session in the time available.

You can access the slides from the session here.

Teams working on implementations of the Once-Only Technical system, or stakeholders interested in learning more, can register to the 2023 ‘OOTS Implementation Café’ series. You can find more information on events relating to the Once-Only Technical System here.
