Support the deployment of EBSI services

Context

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is an EU funding programme focused on bringing digital technology to businesses, citizens and public administrations.

Until January 24th, you can apply to the new call for proposals for the Digital Europe Programme concerning Advanced digital skills, a call focused on Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas.

The primary objective of this call is to support the design and delivery of higher education programme(s), concerning key technologies, including blockchain. Participants are also invited to upgrade digital solutions, equipment and infrastructure, with a special focus on interoperability of IT systems across participating High Education Institutions.

This call for proposal holds a special focus on blockchain and proposals are highly encouraged to explain how the project explores the innovative use of digital tools and solutions to support the functioning of the education programme(s), such as the cross-border verification of educational credentials piloted by the European Blockchain Service Infrastructure (or other solution).

Who can apply for EBSI grants?

In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:

  • be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • be established in one of the eligible countries

Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 6 applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities) and which complies with the following conditions:

  • At least three degree-awarding education institutions from three different eligible countries participating in DIGITAL programme;
  • At least two SMEs;
  • At least one research centres or excellence centre in one key emerging technology in line with the definition in Targeted Stakeholders section.
