Single Market Strategy 2025: Call for evidence (January 2025)

7 January 2025 | 2 minutes read

The European Commission has launched a call for evidence to contribute to the Single Market Strategy 2025. This call is open until 31 January 2025.

The Single Market Strategy 2025 will promote the cross-border provision of services and movement of goods. It will strive to ensure the existing rules are fully implemented, to remove existing regulatory and administrative barriers and to prevent new ones.

Concretely, the Single Market Strategy will present an action plan listing initiatives that the Commission intends to put forward over the coming years to fully exploit the potentials of the Single Market to boost Europe’s productivity.

Input received will be taken into account as the Commission further develops the Single Market Strategy. Feedback received will be published on the Commission website.

The Once-Only Technical System will allow citizens and businesses to request official documents, or "evidence," needed for administrative procedures, thus making it easier for them to study, work, live, or retire when moving between EU countries. Once-Only is therefore critical to building a competitive Single Market that reduces the administrative burden on European citizens and businesses.
