Live updates about EBSI at the Blockathon Forum
On MAY 18, EBSI will participate in the Blockathon Forum held by the EUIPO European Observatory on Infringements of IPRs.
During this virtual meeting, held via Zoom from 09:00 to 13:00 CET, Pierre Marro - Policy Officer for Digital Innovation and Blockchain at the European Commission - will present the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI).
About the event
The Anti-Counterfeiting Blockathon Forum is a network of people and organisations working together to shape and deliver the future anti-counterfeiting infrastructure. This network is part of the broad EU strategy to create a blockchain ecosystem and is a result of the EU Blockathon 2018 competition, co-organised by the European Commission and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
The Forum and the future infrastructure aims at interconnecting organisations, enforcement authorities and citizens to help the transport and proof of authentic goods and address the challenges of counterfeiting.
This would be interesting for you to join the event to get a live update on EBSI and have the opportunity to share your views on anti-counterfeiting blockchain solutions.
About EBSI
EBSI is the first EU-wide blockchain infrastructure driven by the public sector in full respect of European values and regulations. Run by the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP) and the European Commission (EC), EBSI is an infrastructure that allows citizens to start benefiting from its public-driven blockchain, accelerating cross-border services for EU citizens and public administrations.
29 countries (all EU Member States, Norway, and Lichtenstein, forming the European Blockchain Partnership) and the European Commission — DIGIT.D3’s Building Blocks team and DG CNECT F3 Blockchain unit — stood by it, as EBSI's mission is to accelerate the creation of cross-border services and put blockchain at the service of public administrations for the purpose of verifying information, making the services trustworthy.
