Joint statement by Didier REYNDERS, European Commissioner for Justice, and Eric DUPOND-MORETTI, Keeper of the Seals and Minister for Justice, concerning 116 006, the single European victim support line

On the European Day for Victims of Crime, 22 February, Eric Dupond-Moretti, Keeper of the Seals, Minister for Justice and President of the Council of EU Justice Ministers, and Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice, call on all Member States to implement and promote 116 006, the European number for the care and referral of all victims.

 
Open call for proposals for training national judges in EU competition law

The Commission has published a call for proposals for training national judges in EU competition law. The call is managed by DG COMP and addresses judges dealing with competition cases at national level. This also includes prosecutors, apprentice national judges and the staff of judges’ offices or national courts in countries that are eligible under the 2014 2020 Justice programme.

 
LGBTI Equality

The acronym LGBTI stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex and describes a diverse group of persons whose sexual orientation and/or gender identity diverge from the more conventional gender roles of and relationships between men and women. LGBTI people are also sometimes referred to as “sexual, gender and bodily minorities”.

This 1st March 2018, on the international "Zero Discrimination Day", Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourová presented to the High Level Group on Non-Discrimination, Equality and Diversity, the second annual report on the list of Actions to advance Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Equality.
