The conference is taking place in the framework of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion from 23 to 25 June 2010 in London (UK).
It will analyse how the microfinance sector in the UK and in Europe should respond in 2010 and in the future to the various challenges that emerged after the financial crisis to build a more social, financial and entrepreneurially inclusive Europe. It will focus mainly on the challenges linked to a changing Europe: adapting the policy environment ; ensuring that expansion is done without a mission drift; measuring social impacts; raising new sources of funding.
During the conference the “Europe Award” for Microfinance Good Practices and the “European Microcredit Research Award”, will be presented.
