The second edition of the Peer Review Manual is now available

The EQAVET Secretariat has published the second edition of the Peer Review Manual, which incorporates lessons learned from the first round of Peer Reviews that took place in 2022.

The EQAVET Network's approach to VET system level Peer Reviews: A Manual

Following the first round of nine EQAVET Peer Reviews in 2022, the EQAVET Secretariat has revised the ‘The EQAVET Network's approach to VET system level Peer Reviews: A Manual’. The new edition incorporates lessons learned from the Peer Reviews that have already took place. The revised Manual will support the twelve EQAVET National Reference Points (NRPs) in organising their upcoming Peer Reviews in 2023.

The Manual:

  • presents the main principles of EQAVET Peer Reviews on VET system level;
  • provides concrete guidance and tools for NRP representatives to get familiar with the phases and practical steps each phase that a Peer Review entails;
  • states the roles and responsibilities of the main parties involved; and
  • provides NRPs with the tools that can assist them in preparing and implementing Peer Reviews.

The Manual has been developed as part of the methodology and procedure to carry out EQAVET Peer Reviews at VET system level. It is intended to assist NRPs in designing and implementing Peer Reviews in their respective country context.

The Manual may be useful for the broader EQAVET Network to become more familiar with the Network’s approach to VET system level Peer Reviews.
