Denis Kučera – Slovakia (Easy-to-read version)
Denis Kučera is our champion from Slovakia.
In 2005,
he was diagnosed with cancer.
As a result of the treatment,
he got a disability
and now he uses a wheelchair to get around.
Despite this,
Denis continued to grow his skills
and learnt how to live with a disability.
He studied at different universities
and has a degree in European studies.
Denis is passionate about street workout.
This means working out in public places
like in parks and squares.
He started shooting videos of himself
working out in public places.
This inspires many people
to live their lives as they want
despite their disability.
In 2019,
he started a YouTube channel
together with his girlfriend.
By sharing their story,
they want to show how it is to live with a disability,
to have a romantic relationship
and to do fun things as a couple.
